BEFORE YOU DECIDE TO BREED...CONSIDER THIS: Do you realize that by breeding you TAKE AWAY homes from other animals? Even if you find homes for all the new babies, that still takes away homes from other animals who already have no home. Your dog may be AKC, but that doesn't mean he/she should be bred. If you think your 1 litter won't matter... consider how many "1 litter" pets are in shelters and euthanized every day! Are you aware that we have more pets looking for homes than homes looking for pets? Are you in this for the money or the animal? If you're going to breed anyway... Are you prepared to provide proper medical attention, food, etc. for the expecting mother? Will you give the mother time off between pregnancies (which any reasonable/responsible breeder will do)? Do you really know what is involved in breeding, pregnancy, birth, and after? Are you aware it's ILLEGAL to sell animals in front of stores or on the street? Did you know the instinct to mate is very strong and may cause stray animals to attempt (very determined) to enter your property, whether you like it or not? Are you prepared for unexpected visitors (dogs/cats) interested in your pet? PLEASE... THERE ARE NOT ENOUGH HOMES... Don't Litter!

Apple Valley, Hesperia, Victorville, and other cities/towns have ordinances which DO NOT allow animals to be sold on the street or in front of stores or in other, similar ways. The best way to avoid this problem... don't breed!

If you see someone selling puppies/kittens, you can report them. If it is DURING business hours, contact the proper Animal Control. If it is AFTER business hours, contact Sheriff's Dispatch at 760-245-4211. Your information will NOT be given to the people you report; it is confidential.

Bye Baby Poem
No more lonely cold nights or hearing that I’m bad.
No more growling belly from the meals I never had.
No more scorching sunshine with a water bowl that’s dry.
No more complaining neighbors about the noise when I cry.
No more hearing “shut up”, “get down” or “get out of here”!
No more feeling disliked, only peace is in the air.
Euthanasia is a blessing, though some still can’t see
Why I was ever born If I weren’t meant to be.
My last day of living was the best I ever had.
Someone held me very close, I could see she was very sad.
I kissed the lady’s face, and she hugged me as she cried.
I wagged my tail to thank her, then I closed my eyes and died.
